The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that the Hajj season 1443 Hijri (2022) has been made possible with the use of modern technology.

According to the instructions of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the best facilities were provided to the pilgrims. In this, the use of modern technology has made it easier for the pilgrims and these modern 'apps' have been used for one million pilgrims.

 

The Ministry of Hajj also pointed out that this success was due to the immense efforts and coordinated projects that were brought forward by the Ministry of Hajj.

In this regard, the Ministry has introduced electronic track and Umrah application 'apps' using modern technology and online registration of pilgrims from within the Kingdom has also become a source of extraordinary convenience.

 

Similarly, the Ministry of Hajj has informed that electronic registration was started in Western countries, America and Australia. As a result, there was a clear reduction in the expenses of the pilgrims of these countries.

The ministry had already expanded the use of smart cards for pilgrims. This smart card also became an effective means of identifying the pilgrims and guiding them. As a result, these 'smart cards' were also useful for residences in the holy cities.

 

Similarly, due to the 'Smart Hajj App', 'Organizers App', and 'Workers App', Hajj payments and arrangements have become very easy. Moreover, the Ministry of Hajj found it very useful to use the media and carry out awareness issues for the pilgrims. Thanks to this modern technology, guidance was arranged for the pilgrims in 14 languages.
